Backyard was effectively garbage. 25% grass, 75% weeds and bare dirt. Last stage of a 2 year battle with Quackgrass and Poa Triv.

Did 3x rounds of 41% Gly starting first week of August.

One week prior to seeding, last cut at 1" deck height…lawn sweeper towed behind 3 passes to clean surface as much as possible.

Everyday I sprayed a 4g tank, about 50/50 water and concentrate. Concentrate is my own homebrewed organic juice… then watered in deeply.

August 21st – Seed was Twin City Total Eclipse 100% KBG blend. This is an amazing seed mix. I used it last year in my front reno, and it's so nice and thick right now. Hopefully this will all continue to fill and thicken this year and next. Still have a little bit of straw to mulch up, but that's not a problem..

Future plans include some massive tree work next year…opening up for hours more sunshine in current yard, and also will allow me to push the lawn back into that bare area way back there.

Right side is a future garden strip for the wife, hence no grass there..

  2. Well, I don’t hate it. But seriously, that looks beautiful.

Very nice! Anywhere that KBG thrives its my number one choice.

How’s the front held up over the past year? I read mixed reviews on 100% KBG lawns.

Amazing, can we get a pic with the brick walkway finished with it?

How long were you supposed to wait after doing 3x rounds of 41% Gly prior to seeding ?

Damn is that all seed I see in the first pic? I’m definitely skimping on seed… Fuuuu

Looks awesome. Great job. I’ve been using Total Eclipse as well and have also been really happy with it.
